Privacy Policy.

Applies to: symoneshintionlaw.com and any linked mobile or web applications (collectively, the "Site") operated by The Law Offices of Symone Shinton, PLLC and its affiliates ("LOSS," "we," "our," "us").
1. Scope
This Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard personal information when you: (i) browse the Site, (ii) submit a form, or (iii) consent to receive calls or text messages, including those sent with an automatic telephone‐dialing system. By using the Site or providing your information, you agree to this Policy.

Identifiers: Examples include name, postal address, email, phone number, IP address, case reference ID. Source: you; analytics tools.
Commercial/Case Info: Examples include services requested, status notes, retainer details. Source: you; our staff; service providers.
Internet Activity: Examples include log-in data, clickstream, cookies, device type. Source: automatic.

Sensitive Personal Information: Examples include medical facts, abuse history, Social Security or ID numbers (only if you choose to provide). Source: you.

4. Where Your Data Lives
Your information is stored in LOSS-controlled systems and in secure CRMs or platforms operated by (a) service providers engaged to pursue your claim and (b) vetted service vendors (e.g., texting platform, call center, cloud hosting, analytics). Each vendor or partner is bound by contract to use the data solely to provide services to LOSS and may not sell it.
5. Disclosure / "Sharing" Practices
No Sale for Money. We never sell personal information for monetary consideration.
Limited Sharing. We may share identifiers with service providers for texting, calling, analytics, document signing, and secure file storage.
Legal/Ethics. We disclose when required by subpoena, court order, bar-association rules, or conflict-check purposes.
6. SMS, Call, and TCPA Disclosures
Consent. By entering a phone number and checking any opt-in box (or texting a keyword to our number), you give prior express written consent for LOSS to send you marketing and non-marketing texts and prerecorded calls. Consent is not a condition of hiring us.
Message Frequency & Rates. Varies. Msg & data rates may apply.
Opt-Out. Text STOP to cancel or HELP for help. We honor requests immediately or within 24 hours and send a one-time confirmation text.
California § 17538.41 Compliance. Every marketing text includes: (i) our identity, (ii) clear opt-out instructions ("STOP"), and (iii) a toll-free contact number.
Call Recording Notice. Calls may be monitored or recorded for quality. If either party is in California, we announce the recording and proceed only with verbal consent.
7. California Privacy Notice (CCPA / CPRA)
This subsection applies solely to California residents.
Categories Collected (past 12 months): Identifiers; Commercial/Case Info; Internet Activity; Geolocation; Sensitive PI (voluntary).
Purposes: see Section 3.
Disclosures for Business Purposes: Service providers only.
Rights: access, correct, delete, know, opt-out of sharing, limit Sensitive PI, non-discrimination.

Retention: we retain data only as long as needed for legal representation, regulatory obligations, or ethical file-keeping rules.
If we ever offer a promotion in exchange for SMS opt-in, we will post a separate Notice of Financial Incentive describing how we calculate the incentive's value.
8. Children
The Site is not directed to children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect their personal information.
9. Security
We employ administrative, technical, and physical safeguards—encryption in transit and at rest, role-based access, mandatory MFA for staff—to protect personal data. No system is 100 percent secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.
10. Data Retention
Files relating to potential or active matters are retained for the period required by applicable law or bar-association rules, then securely deleted or archived.
11. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Policy periodically. Material changes will be posted with a new effective date and, for SMS programs, announced via text containing a link to the revised terms.
